Central Florida Community College

Central Florida Community College, located in Ocala, Florida recently completed a construction project on their first campus building, Founder’s Hall, to renovate the facility as a LEED-certified building, and equip the facility with the latest technology. As part of the project, LMG designed and installed a state-of-the-art conference room including projection, control, video and audio systems, and the latest high definition video teleconferencing (VTC) technology, used by the college president and board of directors to stay connected with college officials across the state, minimizing overall travel expenses and environmental impact.
LMG provided a Tandberg Codec 3000 MXP high definition, integrated VTC system that included an HD camera and MultiSite functionally that allows the college to join up to four video and three audio sites at once, as well as view the presenter and presentation/graphics simultaneously. The VTC system is viewable over two Panasonic 65” 1080p HD plasma monitors that were installed using articulating swing mounts to allow movement into the viewing position as required, and the ability to fold against the wall when not in use. In addition, nine 19” LCD monitors were installed at each board member’s seat, with one located at the podium. LMG also installed and programmed an AMX Netlinx 3100 control system with user-friendly touch panel that provides easy control over all the technical components of the room.
